Guide: Poshan Abhiyaan Data Entry (Home Visit)

Five crisp steps to upload Home Visit and other nutrition activities on the POSHAN portal.

Essentials to keep ready

  • Smartphone or laptop (desktop view on mobile recommended)
  • User ID & Password from your office
  • Home visit photos under 2MB
Steps to submit

Step 1

Step 1: Access the Website and Login

Open https://poshanabhiyaan.gov.in. On mobile, use browser menu → "Desktop site" for better view. Click "Data Entry" (top right).

Visual: Login box with Username, Password, and a captcha math question (e.g., 6 + 2).

  • Enter your User Name and Password, solve the captcha, then click Sign In.

Step 2

Step 2: Select Activity Details

In "Activity Details", choose the options for a Home Visit data entry.

Visual: Dropdowns for Activity, Theme, Level, and organiser selection, plus date picker.

  • Activity: type "Home" and select "Home Visit".
  • Level: select "Village / AWC".
  • Village/AWC: pick your Anganwadi Centre name.
  • Theme: choose the relevant theme (Poshan Maah / General Nutrition).
  • Organiser: select "AWW" or "LS" as applicable.
  • Date: pick today or a back date for past visits.

Step 3

Step 3: Enter Participation Details

Enter total participants and break them down by adults/children, male/female.

Visual: Inputs for Total, Adult Male/Female, Child Male/Female; totals must match.

  • Example: Total 9 = 2 adult male + 4 adult female + 1 child male + 2 child female.
  • Form will not submit if the breakdown does not equal the total.

Step 4

Step 4: Upload Photo and Submit

Add evidence and send the form.

Visual: Browse/Upload button for a photo (under 2MB) and an optional description box; "Submit" button below.

  • Upload home-visit photo from gallery.
  • Description (optional): e.g., "Home visit for nutrition awareness."
  • Click "Submit" to send.

Step 5

Step 5: View Your Entries

Use "View All Data Entry" to confirm your submission for the selected date.

Visual: List of submitted activities with dates and details.

  • Check that your new entry appears in the list.
